Lovely MMU.

The journey has begun......





HOLA! (yea, camwhored.)

Exactly one week and 2 days i've been here, the gorgeous Multimedia University ( Malacca's campus ). Well, i was trying to blog days ago and what i had was degraded connectivity. Sigh~

10th June 2006 - Registration Day and I was amazed by the amount of us freshies (the seniors called us that!)

what? there're 2k of us! 0__0 ( plus another 500 at MMU Cyberjaya ).AND another 500 international students each year. We were divided into 4 big groups and another 13 groups of each big group. Oh, the red clothing you see us wearing here is MMU's official batik. lol.

I think it's nice. The OC(s) , orientation committees(our dear seniors) , theirs are blue.

Here's the main hall where we had our boring-but-important briefings and introductions. Not only main hall, the talks were held too at the exam hall, lecture rooms etc. ( duh! 2k ?)
And here's what the OCs will do year after year during orientation week and they do show the pics at the end of the day to everyone...

GOTCHA! __the effect of boring-but-important speeches. lol.

And when it comes to the NO-NOs...

Rule no.1 : Caressing, kissing, smooching, hugging, holding hands are strictly prohibited! Sigh~

Opening and closing ceremonies were held during the orientation week at both the campuses(m'ka & c'jaya). Cyberjaya MMU was the host for opening and so we ppl in Malacca had it via video conference ( closing - terbalikkan ).Here're what I've known through MMU's President's speech during the opening ceremony about MMU...

* It's a 100% private university, own by Telekom Malaysia and... the 1st best in Malaysia. ( i was like "wow, that's kewl!". 2nd is UPC, ha! )

* Yea, you can expect the every degree course's fee to be lower than RM50k for you to get a locally & internationally recognised degree.

* It's the first and only University in the world to have Bachelor of Financial Engineering (Hons.) .

* Newly introduced and recognised course - BIOMEDIC.

* International students in MMU - All from 77 countries around the world. ( i have one Mongolia girl , a Kenya guy and another black fella, i dont know mana dia dtg, in my group.)

* One of the only(s) private university which uses online system on everything except payments. Be it course registration/verification/profile, library, all sorts of notes, schedules, cocuriculum, announcements, bulletins, ...just anything!

ETC. ETC. You might just wana check www.mmu.edu.my if'ya wana know more abouts. hee. OHYAYA!!! I saw a Sabahan Malay guy who looked 95.3478% like BARRY OOI (duh! that dude looks better than B.O. suetli: #$%@!& !!!) and a jumbo who Shawn will never wins...

Each group of about 10 was given an egg, a chicken-rice plastic bag, 4 straws, a piece of mahjong paper, strings and sello-tape. Do whatever you want as long as the egg'll be safe from 3 storeys. ... Well, it didn't work out for my group. T.T

Here's something I had which will happen once in a person's lifetime and worth , the Orientation Performance Night !!! Ohh~~~ it was a great party for me.

Those on the stage were our OCs and that's the time when we sang our MMU's anthem altogether. TELL YOU ar~ i'd like you to listen to that song. Man, it's just such a nice song!

When the lights were off, everyone "showed off" their hps... the 'high' u get is like being in The Click Five 's summer party. ( just let me 'aww~' myself.)
This pic up here...it looks like the OCs weren't having anything on top. lol. they wore skin coloured shirt actually. Yea, " lights on please" We cheered, waved goodbye, screamed, ...some cried. O_0

i'm leaving on this coming Sat(10th June, 17summersplash's happening in sunwaylagoon! T.T) for Malacca>>>MMU's registration day. YEAH!!! i'm going to school ... finally!!!

Undeniable happiness:
_New study environment,new friends,new stuff(s) in school and all u could imagine.
_Leave on my own and away from home. ( well, i think it's cool ... sometimes. )
_Malacca's delicacies!
_Feels like growing up and up and...

Undeniable sadness , it's really sad :

last but not least, buddies. omfg, anyone on Earth can live without ...buddies(frrrriiiieeennndddsss)? well tell'ya, am gona cry like shit man. i just cant imagine i'm not able to do the usual stuff* (though it's pretty lame/boring sometimes) with them for at least a year!

*usual stuff = chat,food,drink,outings,MOVIES,lame jokes,shopping...hey, you should know the list well!

Friends, the ones who we can go to no matter what happens.

you want fun/play? they'll give it to you.
you want a shoulder to cry for? "go on,"they say.
you want the latest hits? "i'll send/download/burn for you."
you want protection? they'll be the first you'll see.
you want a hug? "aww,c'mon."

these are what i can really observe all the time! friends are actually helping and enjoying each other without realising anything. ohhh....i'm so glad and lucky to have great buddies around me. i owe them a lot. ( sorry ppl,i was being str8-forward sometimes =P ) i'm so gona miss them like shit. aaarrrrgggghhhhh! T.T

oh, i went 1Utama with Andy & Daniel. pretty big crowd it was! nothing did there besides 'loitering' around ( since it was the 1st time for Daniel being at 1Utama, oops =P) oh yayaya! we went to the new wing to look for the new store, Forever21. the store's big, bright, nice designed entrance ,great etc. it's the first in Malaysia.
forgive me for being a kampong ah beng, i didnt know that Forever21 has things for boobz only. lol. i was kinda disappointed for awhile. anyway, we did went in the store & looked around. they have everything what a girl wants and they're all at average price! poor us guys. T.T

The Curve after 1Utama. nice bazaar there. i love the atmosphere there...it's so western.
oh, Cineleisure's opened now. the main branch's in singapore. it's still very new with only the cineplexes opened now. great. we watched The Benchwarmers there. hell, you ppl should go Cineleisure's cineplexes for movies cuz that's what i really call "cinema" ! with supercomfortable and wide seats, same price as other cinemas' movie passes etc. , what else u'll beg for!?
and not forgetting the IKEA's CURRYPUFFS...oh, heaven! RM 1 for a piece and RM 5.50 for half-a-dozen. kewl! IKEA's CURRYPUFFS' a must,humans! they can be found at a cafe in front of the cashiers of ikea's.

UK having holiday now. jealousy, full of it in me. lol. yea, she's having pics in her blog and i love those pics she took. aww.... london, oxford etc. great arts there. the streets, the parks, the ppl, the music and all. sigh~
i swear i'm gona have those nice things right at the front of my eyes one day!
